VILLAGE OF GERMANTOWN: As part of the upcoming intersection construction project, Graef Engineering is conducting a public involvement presentation virtually to gather feedback from the public

Zz

Village of Germantown issued the following announcement.

The Village of Germantown is in the process of completing the preliminary design for the Freistadt Road intersection with Maple Road in coordination with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation as part of a Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) project.  The Village has retained GRAEF, a consulting engineering firm, to prepare plans for this project. The project consists of spot safety and operational improvements including installation of a new traffic signal with intersection lighting, widening of the intersection to accommodate turn lanes, replacement of curb ramps, and pavement marking and roadway signing upgrades. Construction is scheduled for the summer-fall of 2021.

The Village of Germantown is holding the Public Involvement meeting virtually to help protect our community from the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. You are invited to review a public involvement presentation which illustrates the conceptual project improvements.  The Virtual Public Involvement presentation and accompanying exhibits are available on the Village of Germantown website: http://www.village.germantown.wi.us/176/Construction-Projects. You can also view the presentation here and the exhibit here. The presentation provides general information about the project corridor, illustrates the overall project concepts, and identifies the project schedule.  You are encouraged to view the presentation and provide feedback to the project representatives by Friday September 25, 2020. Please contact Andre Ost, GRAEF Consultant Project Manager at (414) 266-9256, andre.ost@graef-usa.com, with any questions or comments regarding the proposed improvements.
