City of Hartford issued the following announcement on June 2.
The Model T Ford Club of America is holding its annual “national tour” this year in southeast Wisconsin the week of June 20-24. 130 Model T Fords from across the United States will be touring from Fond du Lac to a new destination each day to experience the best that southeast Wisconsin has to offer.
On Tuesday, June 21, the Model T’s will be visiting the Slinger Historical Museum and the Wisconsin Automotive Museum, with half the group at each location morning and afternoon. All 130 Model T’s will be in the parking lot of the Chandelier Ballroom at noon. On the return trip to Fond du Lac, the Model T’s will be stopping in Theresa at approximately 4 p.m. to enjoy ice cream at Confections by Joel and to help Widmer’s Cheese celebrate 100 years in business.
On Thursday, June 23, the Model T’s will be in Mayville, parking at the Mayville Limestone School Museum and at the Mayville Park Pavilion overlooking the Rock River. Ryan Kautzer and his 3 piece band will be performing on the outdoor stage from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., sponsored by Bernhard Plumbing, Inc. The American Legion will be serving brats, burgers, and refreshments to tour participants and the public. Later in the day, the Mayville Lions Club June Dairy Month Polka and Variety Dance will be held at the pavilion from 4 to 8 p.m.
The Model T Ford Club of America will also be visiting Road America at Elkhart Lake, the Wade House stagecoach inn and Wesley Jung Carriage Museum at Greenbush, and the Experimental Aircraft Association Museum at Oshkosh during the “Wonderful Wisconsin Tour” hosted by the Dairyland Tin Lizzies chapter. 2022 marks the first national tour of the Model T Ford Club of America to be held in southeast Wisconsin during the club’s 57 year history.
