Town of Erin, Washington County

November 8, 2022

Referendum Details

At an election in the Town of Erin, on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, the following question will be submitted to a vote of the people:

            “Under state law, the increase in the levy of the Town of Erin for the tax to be imposed for the next fiscal year, 2023, is limited to 0.973%, which results in a levy of $888,156. Shall the Town of Erin be allowed to exceed this limit and increase the levy for the next fiscal year, 2023, for the purpose of road repairs, by a total of 22.519%, which results in a levy of $1,088,156 and include the increase of $200,000 for fiscal years 2024 through 2032?”

A copy of the entire text of the resolution directing the submission of the question can be obtained from the office of the town clerk.

Additional Information

Acceptable Photo ID will be required to vote at this election.  If you do not have a photo ID you may obtain a free ID for voting from the Division of Motor Vehicles.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Town Board for the Town of Erin has scheduled an informational session on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Erin Town Hall, 1846 State Hwy 83, Hartford, WI, at 6-8 pm. for the purpose of providing information and receiving comments on the road referendum. It is anticipated that a quorum of the Town Board as well as other Town Governmental Bodies will be in attendance at the meeting. There will be no formal action taken at this session.
