The Washington County Sheriff’s Office announced on April 10 that Andrew D. Breuer, a convicted sex offender, will be released from prison on April 28 and will reside at 862 Homestead Dr. in the Town of Farmington.

This notification is being made under Wisconsin Statute 301.46(2m), which allows law enforcement to inform the public about a sex offender’s release when it is believed to enhance safety and awareness. The Sheriff’s Office said Breuer was convicted in 2021 of repeated first-degree sexual assault of the same child and will remain on probation until April 28, 2035, under close monitoring by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections Division of Community Corrections.

“This sex offender has served the prison sentence imposed on him by the courts. He is NOT wanted by law enforcement at this time. This notification is not intended to increase fear, but rather it is our belief that an informed public is a safer public,” according to the statement from the Sheriff’s Office.

The office highlighted that offenders have always lived within communities, but only after implementation of Sex Offender Registration and Community Notification Law could such information be shared with residents. More details are available through state resources for those seeking further information.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office contributes to community safety through educational programs and public relations efforts, according to the official website. The department focuses on crime prevention and protecting constitutional rights as part of its mission to enhance community safety, as outlined on its official website. It also provides services including jail maintenance, emergency dispatching through 911, crime enforcement duties, fire support for municipalities, rescue operations and police support across Washington County according to official sources.

For questions regarding this case or related matters involving supervision or registry status, contacts were provided for Probation/Parole Agent Emma Jansky (262-335-5665), Sex Offender Registry Specialist Alyssa Angell (608-240-5830), or Sgt. Michael Hennes (262-365-5054). The Sheriff’s Office operates from West Bend according to its official website.
